captured with heart
Part II of our journey this summer landed us in Bali, Indonesia, smelling beautiful burning incense the minute we stepped on the island. We’d had such a wonderful trip so far in Java and had seen so few tourists, Bali felt really western at first with it’s brand new airport and blonde tourists. Within 15 minutes of driving past Kuta and Seminyak, we passed the bulk of the tourists and began to see the gorgeous beaches, jungle-terrain, and temples that make this place so magical. We spent time in Canggu and Ubud, and explored the Tanah Lot, Gunung Kawi and Tirta Empul in Bali. On the days that we visited the holy springs, it happened to be an Indonesian holiday, and we were able to witness so many people coming to receive the blessings of the water, which was truly an amazing experience! Bali is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen- the harmony of the nature, the religion, the kindness of the people was breathtaking.
