It’s no secret that we love wedding invitation styling and all things paper, so we were really excited when Basic Invite recently reached out to us to collaborate on an inspirational shoot this winter! They provide a simple online solution to those who are looking to create pretty wedding stationery, with the option to customize the look of your suite choosing from more than 160 card stock options and over 100 different fonts. We picked four of our favorite designs to photograph, and we loved styling and photographing their lovely work in the studio.
I’m always a big fan of gold on wedding invitations, and I immediately fell in love with the delicate gold foil fonts of the “Whimsical Calligraphy set.” We have seen a rise in popularity of black accent colors for weddings, especially for weddings during the winter months. Speaking of classic, the second invitation suite set would be a perfect introduction for a black tie wedding. We absolutely love the sophisticated combination of fonts in this exquisite “Antique Elegance” on a heavy card stock. The versatility of the white and black would work with any color palette, which makes it a great choice for weddings opting to include seasonal florals!
The dreamy soft colors featured on the “Painted Border” invitation were so fun to style with coordinating ribbon and tulips! It also is a great example of how you can work with a variety of fonts in one set, as this suite contains three different typefaces, and maintains a cohesive look. I love this suite for a garden wedding in the spring! Like the first set we photographed, the last invitation suite also featured a chic gold foil. On a simple white the “Type Frame” invitation looks really fresh and bright, and would be perfect for a couple with vintage accents to their wedding day.
Basic Invite makes it so nice and simple to tailor a suite to your specific wedding style. Especially to those couples looking for a custom look for their invitations at a retail price, we can highly recommend working with them on creating beautiful invitations for your wedding day!
